Help & Manual is a helpful tool for technical writers, for easier documentation and content management. With its simple word-processor-like interface and integrated help, this application can be easily mastered by novice users too. Supplied with single- and multi-author editing capabilities, this program allows you to create documentation in form of compiled HTML help, Web help or PDF format.
The interface of the application consists of a Ribbon toolbar, which includes all the basic functional menus of the application, a Project Explorer panel that allows you to access all the components of your project, and the editor panel where all the editing work of your project can be done. Help & Manual is XML-based and can be used for single sourcing, team authoring and conditional output. The various tools included in this application are: Screen Capture tool, Project Report tool, Impact Screenshot Editor, Print Manual Designer, Help Context Tool, Spell Checker, Project Convertor, and Project Synchronization tools.
The 5.1 version of the program includes new features like a new user interface, XML source format, WYSIWYG XML editing, Multi-user support, skin support, capability to handle big projects, work-flow integration for 3rd party tools, and more.
